My name is Dario Cecchini.
After twenty years of accommodating guests and VIPS around the world,
I decided to change my life... and together with my American wife Marie Claire, who is an English teacher,
I spent five years searching, researching and renovating two properties we fell in love with.
We love to travel, have been all over the world, and we love intimate hotels with character, personality and a sense of place. We wanted to create beautiful, comfortable retreats,
with modern comforts and a relaxed atmosphere, where our friends,
and friends of friends, from all over
the world could come to relax, cook great dinners, and enjoy life.
A vision realized
Villa Cecchini was built arount 1700
and was part of huge farming estate comprising twenty such houses where farm workers and their families once lived. Cattle and pigs were the main animals raised
and at night were kept in the area that i
s now the living room, dining room and brick patio. The renovation of the farm began
in 2006 when Dario purchased it. We have kept the furnishings and interior decoration of the farmhouse as authentic as possible
to mantain the typical Tuscan atmosphere. We have also selected a natural landscape design over a more formal one, again to
be more in keeping with the origins of
the farmhouse. In 2008, Dario and Marie planted additional olive and fruit trees,
so that the property can rightfully be called
a farm once again . Today, Villa Cecchini is
a small organic family farm that practice sustainable agriculture. We proudly grown apricots, peaches, oranges, lemons, figs, plums, cherries, apples, pears and we produce extra virgin olive oil, liquors
and jams. Villa Cecchini is member of the International Slow Food Association who promote food and wine culture, but also
to defend food and agricultural biodiversity. We are keen to protect the cultural identities tied to food and gastronomic traditions, to safeguard foods and cultivation and processing techniques inherited from tradition and to defend domestic, wild animal
and vegetable species.
The Iacopetti Cecchini families have been owning restaurants and hotels
for three generations, since Giuseppe Iacopetti, his wife Amelia and their daughter Iolanda Iacopetti Cecchini became owners of several restaurants
in Turin and few hotels in the elegant seaside town of Marina di Pietrasanta
n Tuscany. Today they still own a real estate agency, Cecchini Immobiliare
in Forte dei Marmi (Lucca) and three rental properties in Tuscany, Villa Amelia in Marina di Pietrasanta (Lucca),
Villa Cecchini in Massa e Cozzile (Pistoia) and San Gennaro Castello
in San Gennaro (Lucca) and coming

Boutique Farmhouses is a privately held family company that owns and operates a self-catering villa rental,
an eco-friendly bed and breakfast and a real estate agency in Tuscany between Lucca and Florence.
Boutique Farmhouses is committed to creating a unique, personal, relaxed experience - places where one
can put a little distance between themselves and the rest of the world. We operate each property
in a responsible manner, in harmony with its local culture and environment.
Villa Cecchini is divided into two large and independent single apartments; Lavanda, the smaller one, is occupied from time to time by the owners while Girasole, the larger one, is rented as a large family apartment. Lavanda offers two bedrooms and one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a living room with a sofa bed sleeping up to 7 guests. Girasole offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a living room with fireplace and sofa bed sleeping up to 10 guests. The villa can also be rented as a whole private villa with pool.
This option is ideal for large groups of friends or families holidaying together. It offers six bedrooms with four bathrooms plus two sofa beds sleeping up to 17 guests. Villa Cecchini is immersed in 22000 sq meters of olive groves, oak
and chestnut woods and fruit gardens atop a panoramic hill looking at medieval castles and ancient towns.
Lavanda
On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine) with
a culinary library, dining room, living room with fireplace and sofa bed. On the first floor there is a triple room and a double room sharing a bathroom with shower and washing machine.
Amenities: 55'' Satellite HDTV, DVD, Playstation, WiFi internet, indoor & outdoor music, washing machine, iron & ironing board, safe, parking, ping pong, mountain bikes, wood fire oven, barbecue and more.
Girasole
The ground floor consists of a large fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, fridge, freezer, espresso machine), dining room, living room with sofa bed and one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The first floor offers a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two double bedrooms sharing a spa bathroom with a sauna and jacuzzi tub.
Amenities: WiFi internet, sauna, jacuzzi, iron & ironing board, parking, fussball table, mountain bikes and much more.
Renting the whole villa is a very cost effective way to holiday in Tuscany if you are family or a large group of friends.
The ground floor consists of two fully equipped kitchens, two dining rooms , two living rooms and one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The first floor offers four double bedrooms and one triple room, two bathrooms with shower and a master spa bathroom with sauna and jacuzzi. For a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The villa is immersed in 22000 square meters of olive groves, woods (with a private 15 station fitness trail), fruit orchards and gardens.
A panoramic swimming pool with a stone bar and music system is located in the olive grove just steps away from the villa. In front of the villa an old brick patio, with wood fire pizza oven and barbecue, is the perfect spot for al fresco dining looking at medieval castles. The villa sleeps up to 17 guests.

Our panoramic pool has been designed to seamlessly blend into the beautiful landscape, providing a truly carefree and tranquil spot to soak up the surrounding views. The experience is complete with a refreshing cocktail or a glass of wine from our pool bar, enjoyed by the pool or under the gazebo with candelight.
The pool (17 x 40 ft length , 4.3 ft depth) is open from the beginning of May to the end of September.
Outdoors, in the stunning scenario of Villa Cecchini, among the olive grove and gardens, a number of paths lead through the wonderful private wood, along a river, among chestnut and oak trees. A meeting point for various types
of plants of the Mediterranean and even alpine region. For walkers this is a paradise offering some of the most dramatic views of Massa e Cozzile, for the more active ones there is a fitness trail with fifteen challenging workout stations. At the guests' disposal there are mountain bikes for tours in the wood or outside the estate, along roads
and itineraries leaving from the farmhouse
